Yeah, mine's not a diesel so it won't work. I'll just get a new crankshaft pulley, tensioner system and pulley and belt and go from there, see if that takes care of it. Thanks everybody!

Hi Tom, thanks for your help. I've been looking for the new upgraded kit here in the US and can't seem to find one anywhere. I even looked up genuine Jaguar parts and they only offer the original design for the crank pulley. Any ideas on where to pick up a new kit? Sure appreciate your help and advice. Thank you! -Don

Have a loud rattle when idling; I think it's coming from the crankshaft pulley. Do these fail? Are they difficult to replace? Seems like you need to access it through the wheel well. Any advice or ideas would be helpful. 2002 X-type 2.5 Sport, 167k miles
