    Little air to face or windscreen

    Hi, I've got a 58 reg and have similar issues. If I hit the DEF button the aircon pours out plenty of air through the windscreen vents. As soon as you go to AUTO or the windscreen/feet option barely a trickle comes out of the windscreen vents. DEF seems to be the only option on mine that will demist the windscreen.

    First time X-type owner

    Hello everybody. Bought a 58 reg 2.0S diesel X-type estate last month. Have enjoyed looking through posts and thought I'd join up. The car is high mileage (154k) but drives really smoothly. Its also had plenty of services so, touch wood, it'll last me a while. Its also probably the most comfortable car I've owned. You know you're getting old when a major factor in choosing a car is whether it aggravates your sciatica. Looking forward to participating in discussions. Jon
