  1. Hi there I have a 54 x type estate 2.0ltr diesel, recently it's developed a knocking noise when the car is in neutral but as soon as I depress the clutch the noise stops. I have no other issues with the clutch ie: no slipping no problems selecting any gear. Is it as I fear the dmf on its way out or could it be something simpler. I appreciate any reply Thanks John
  2. Thank you for the advice I've soldered the wire now and everything seems fine. Just like to add this is a great forum. Thanks John
  3. Just a quick update on the situation I've been using the car for the last 2 days for work and the car has no power it 1st 4th and 5th gears but seems to pull ok in 2nd and 3rd. I can't hear anything from the turbo but the actuator moves freely also I've noticed that one connection from the harness to the MAF sensor has snapped off ie: no plug from harness just 4 wires with crimps and one has broken.
  4. Thank you both for the quick replies I'll check everything again tomorrow. Thanks John
  5. Hi there I'm new to this forum I have a 2005 x-tyoe 2.0l diesel I've just replaced the intercooler/egr pipe as the old one had split but now I have no boost from my turbo. The car runs fine but seems to lack power the EML is on also. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
