  1. Trevor Sorry we live in Staffordshire, thanks for your answer, could you please let us have Peter's contact details to see if his mechanic would travel, I would be prepared to pay his travel expenses, alternatively could he suggest someone a little closer. Once again, thanks for your help. I am having great difficulty logging on every time, so could you please pass on my email address which is [email protected] Kind regards Peter
  2. I`m the owner of a rather immaculate x-type 2.0 d sport saloon and in November of last year I had to replace the manifold/turbo and actuator at a cost of £1400 +(ouch). All has been fine since until yesterday(Saturday)when motoring down the M6 my turbo blew(yet to be officially diagnosed) leaving me with no acceleration(0 to 50 in 5 mins)Breakdown truck/mechanic arrived and relayed back to my home in Stoke on trent. The previous work I had done by a jag specialist I believe was guaranteed for 6months to be confirmed tomorrow(Monday)when I get in touch with them.It would seem I`m looking at paying out a similar fee again because I`m told that the turbo only cannot be replaced on its own.I`m a pensioner and whilst I have the funds to have it rectified it will hit my bank balance hard.I would welcome any help in this area.My email is [email protected] Many thanks,Peter
