  4. Cheers Joe, something else to look at, if it’s possible to get into the boot via back seats. Only I’ve been told that the release handles for the rear seats are in the boot, also tried the boot key no luck.
  5. When all else fails hit it with the hammer someone said once and that never worked either, but did try what you said out of desperation next thing I will take a look at will be the valet option, as my son was looking at what all the features were. Perhaps I should of locked him in there 🤣😂🤣
  6. Hi David I have just purchased a XF 2,0 D Luxury only had the car a few weeks and its a great car to drive. I travel 80 miles a day round trip to work and what a joy it is, averaging around 36MPG. The only problem I am having is that the boot has just developed a problem opening, its showing a open boot on the screen but its not and cannot open it with any electronic devise or the key from the keyfob. This is something I am investigating at the moment, Hope this helps. Stuart

HI to all Just purchased a XF 2.0 Luxury on a 2011 plate and now having problems. I cannot open the boot with any of the following. keyfob, internal dash button, boot button or even the key on the keyfob for mechanical opening. every time I use any of the electronic devices all I get is a solenoid on and off repeating sound and no opening of the boot. A little lost on what to look for now unless I take it to the garage. main car battery is ok and just changed battery in keyfob. Any ideas please.
