That sound like mine only mine unlocks when the inner door card is fitted it works fine if you leave the panel of I’ve fitted a new lock and a new cable but it still won’t Lock with the panel is fitted I’m at a loss

Can any one help my xf has stopped locking on the o/s front I fitted a new lock mechanism all was great but then I fitted the door card and the problem was back so changed back to old lock and same thing only locks when door panel not fitted has anyone got any ideas please help I give up

Hi had the same problem on my xf brought four motors of aliexpress for seventeen pound bit of a fiddle to do but not impossible if you are handy with a screwdriver look on YouTube there is a guide on how to replace the motors took me about an hour hope this helps
