    Help needed - just purchased a 1985 XJS HE with a manual 5 speed!

    Hi Everyone, I have just joined as on a whim purchased the above car - unseen ! call me brave or stupid, I wont be offended Hoping to gain lots of knowledge and advice from this forum. I have (many years ago) owned a plethora of XJ Series 2 CARS, inc XJC 5.3 and Daimler VDP Double Six etc Firstly, car has no MOT and will need some work for sure. I am based in West London nr Ealing so the first ask is a garage to have an initial look at the car and gain its MOT ? Secondly, what do I need to look for ? EG usual suspects for rust etc etc Looking forward to some helpful advice
