    transfer a engine

    I have an auto x-type 2001 2.5 v6 se jag and my gearbox has many errors. I thing it will cost too much to fix. So i was wondering my engine has only done 46000 miles and is in good working order. I've been offered another x-type jag with same enigine size but the new jag is a manual. Can i transfer my engine from my car to a manual car. In other words an engine from a auto x-type jag to a x-type manual jag?
