Thanks for that. now sorted and have bypassed aircon pully for time being with 6pk1228 after 3 different sizes.

Just an update , I changed the tensioner and all pullys , the belt size to bypass the air con is 6pk1228 now installed and working fine.

Hi , have owned jaguars all my life , starting with 2 mark 2 saloons 3.4 and 3.8 followed by many XJ6 of various sizes . ended up with X type sovereign in 2.2 diesel. Last of real jaguar style

Hi , the top ribbed pully has destroyed itself. I have a new kit to replace the tensioner and pullys but cannot see how to change top ribbed pully. Any help would would be appreciated.
