  1. Hi Gemma. Have you solved your issue? I had a similar problem, the door locking mechanism needed replacing. It use to beep once after locking then about 2 seconds later beep twice.
  2. Hi Neil I have 2014 3.0 V6 D. I would have to agree with the above post of around 36 mpg. This for me is a 80 mile commute each day on A and B roads including a 4 mile school run in heavy traffic. If I take it easy I get around 44 mpg. If it just does runs in and out the city/school runs with heaters on etc I’m looking at 29 mpg. Often I’ll drive to Cornwall which is an 806 mile round trip and it’ll average at 52 mpg. If you’re on a motorway or carriage way with cruise control on at 75 mph for a good amount of time I’ve had 56 mpg. I’d always recommend cruise control as takes away the danger of hitting that accelerator down. Reality is though is that engine is an absolute beast and you wanna hear it roar. Jules
  3. Hi everyone I’m really hoping someone will be able to help me? My 2014 XF 3.0 V6 Diesel has the annoying vibration/noise under acceleration. I’ve seen in other posts that this is a known issue and also know there is a “Sewing machine” fix by replacing the earth strap for a braided one. The problem I have is that I am unable to locate the strap that’s causing the issue! As Scotty Kilmer on YouTube would put it “There’s plastic crap everywhere!” I’ve seen the diagrams for the 2016 XE but obviously different. many thanks Jules
