Thankyou for the reply ! Yes it's an auto, I have tried to start but no luck, I think immobiliser is ok because the security light stays on for a few secs then goes out, I'm lead to believe the light with flash if there is a problem.

Hi guys and girls, I've got a problem with my s type, 3.0 V6 2005. Water pump was leaking, put a new one on with new top hose, all good ! Car was sat for a couple months before I got around to doing it. Now car doesn't start, not cranking ! Everything else seems to work, all instrument lights come on, fuel pump primes up, PATS light illuminates for a few seconds then goes out. Currently using brand new battery from my truck so no worries there ! I've been checking wiring and fuses, all seem good ! If I give starter relay an earth it will crank on the key but not spark. I'm guess the ECU needs to send earth to relay ? Something is telling ECU not to start car ? Any help would be much appreciated !!
