Jack Caldwell

Hello, I have a warning in the centre console that my brake pads are worn so I bought a set of wear indicator prepped Brembo pads to replace the old one with. Ready to start the job I started looking for the locking wheel nut adapter with no success. My car has no spare wheel and apparently no jack (not a problem as I would be using an hydraulic jack), but the only mention of location for the adapter is beside the jack on top of the spare wheel. What I have is the Jaguar tyre inflation kit in place of a get you home spare wheel. Does anyone know where the wheel adapter is on models with no spare get you home wheel? I guess we all need to take the wheel off sometime if only to change tyres so there must be one! I guess! JackC

Thanks for the welcome gents. I will take pleasure in driving it for a while before deciding what if any of the options I think would be useful to have. It already has the six CD changer and the Aluminium trim. Initially a heated steering wheel seemed a good option, so that may well be a consideration before winter comes upon us. Jack

I have just bought a 2011 XK with 21,000 on the clock. It is in good condition though doesn’t have much by way of factory options fitted. None the less it is a beautiful car and drives superbly. I am looking forward to putting a lot more mileage on it and learning it’s foibles as we go along. jack
