  1. Could anyone advise me on a potential scam by a chap in Holland wanting to buy my XJS? I have sent them my IBACS & BIN details & he is willing to pay me the asking price into my account. However, he is now saying he will add the shipping costs onto what he sends me & i will have to pay the transport company when they arrive directly. Leaving me, supposedly with my sale price. Any advice or experiences with this would be most helpful before i commit to the sale.
  2. Great looking unique bright yellow 1989 V12 XJS with full TWR bodykit, fantastic aftermarket alloys with michelin shod tyres all round. This car comes with tonnes of history & memorabilia. The car was originally red approx 15yrs ago. The previous owner was well known member of the club. The car has been all over the world incl south africa & the Nurburgring!. I did a Mallory Park track earlier this year and the car ran beautifully. It drives as smooth as it was when new pretty much. No rattles or shakes & that engine, even with over 180k miles is fantastic. Correct oil pressure, correct temperature. Great car underneath considering its nearly 40yrs old. Doors are showing signs of blistering (new skins if i kept it, they are only £200 ea), a couple of small spots of rust eleswhere, but nothing major. Lovely cream leather interior, with just same scratch marks on the rear centre pad, all with yellow pinstriping to match the exterior colour. I fully serviced it a year ago, and only done approx 3k miles since. Replaced ALL spark plugs, new Dizzy cap, new fuel injector seals & hoses as well. These cars don't want to be stood, they need to be used, aand as this clearly has, runs great. Has been modified with isolator switch and push button starter. My last long run was to the NEC CLASSIC CAR SHOW this year & returned 25-26mpg!! always a good indicator of a good running engine. A/C doesn't work, neither does the cruise control. They never bothered me. The car is priced accordingly. Not mint but a great useable, fun car. get yourself one whilst they are still affordable leading upto their 50hr anniversary next year. Only selling as i had an american muscle car itch to scratch!! ..................£7500 ovno
