  1. Hi there everyone, i am looking at buying some lowering springs for the x-type, the ones i have my eye on are 230 pound eibach items that claim to lower ride height by 30-35mm front and 25-30mm rear, my question is will the springs alone actually reduce the ride height? or will i need to get lowering shocks too? And also if i did use the lowering springs but kept the standard shocks would i be risking damaging anything or making the ride unsafe? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards. Fabian.
  2. Hello there, im new too :) got a 55 x-type 2.0d, nice cars ey! Fabian.
  3. Hi there fellow jag drivers. my name is fabian i am 21 and from bury st edmunds in suffolk, i drive a 55 plate x-type 2.0d 'sport' :D in grey, she's a good runner, i bought her when i was 18 because my wages would allow it and havent looked back since, she is a real delight. Anyway being young and soon to be getting a nice pay rise from work i have thought about a couple of modifications just to make her look a bit more pleasing to the eye, thinking of some 18-19'' jaguar wheels, exhaust system from the 3 litre x-type if this will fit?? obviously a cut and weld onto my standard exhaust after the cat, and some darker windows, dont want to go too balls out because she is a slow car and will be detailed accordingly. Anyway thankyou for reading and please if you want to know more about me or the car then by all means get in touch. Fabian.
