    'Missfiring'

    MEDLOCKS posted a topic in Jaguar X-Type Club
    My X Type 2.0d 2007 is 'missfiring' when trying to accelerate gently, from any speed. There is also smoke from the ex. when accelerating. Are these faults probably connected, like a 'dribbling' injector or what? MPG is also affected. It has only done 53,000 miles. Being on the wrong side of 77, I can't really afford main line garages. Can anyone throw light on these problems. I have only had the car for 3 months. Regards, Medlocks
