    Thanks for the replies. I spoke to the main dealer concerned but didn't really get anywhere. They just said that as a matter of course, they'd tell the owner between services 7 and 9 that it needs doing. This car is a lot thirstier than I was led to believe though.

    I'm in a similar position. If the car has a 10 year service history with the main dealer, would they carry out the cambelt change as a matter of course when it's due?
