    Squeaking as your turn the wheel

    Hi, can anyone help! Being driven mad by squeaking as I turn the wheel. When you first sart up it's okay but starts almost immediately. Not being mechanicaly minded I simply put it in a garage to fix. They came back saying they had changed the fluid but couldn't hear it before an certainly not now. Quite remarkable as everybody who has got in the car before & since comments on the 'awful squeak'. I have tried the fuel additive but it doesn't seem to have made any difference at all. (Only done a couple of miles since - does it take a while to work? I no little of mechanics but if you put it in a garage and they can't help I'm not sure where to go next -very fustrated! Any views, comments & opions greatly appreciated! (2.5 V6 petrol X-type - 54k)
