Thanks, have a Tom Tom and will be sticking with it. Can I ask what mileage and rough costs the car was as something to compare to if purchase private? Assume car had full service history etc?

I thought this way too, checked with CAB and they said they don't although they need to sell it to you as 'fit for purpose'. When things go wrong I was advised it could be difficult and would be through sale of goods act.

Many thanks for reply, would never buy private too risky in my book. Wont buy from a dealer either if warranty isnt good as have seen dealers offering no warranty too! I am the customer with the cash after all!
