Hi, My 2007 XKR has a very annoying buzzing noise coming from the dash to the left of the steering wheel (rhd). It looks like a microphone grill or similar. Any idea what it is and why it buzzes?

Help please! My “new” 2007 XKR siren is sounding randomly. I believe the unit has its own ni cad battery pack which might be failing due to age. I need to replace it soon but more importantly I need to shut it up asap as my neighbours are getting a bit bored with it, especially during the night. If someone knows where it lives and can give me some hints as to how to access it, it would be much appreciated. Especially if it prevents a lynch mob at my door!

Hi, and thank you for allowing me to be part of your esteemed organisation! Over my 40+ years of motoring I’ve mainly had boring company cars but interspersed with Daimlers/Jaguars. It’s not an extensive list but here goes! Daimler Sovereign S-Type XK8 currently I have a 2007 XKR SC. I have a couple of minor issues with the XKR so look out for some newbie questions!
