  1. As per title. The noise is connected with rotation only. There are no knocks or clunks (so not CV, by my understanding). It gets faster as I go faster, and so it would seem like bearings, the shafts, or the wheel. I'm sure it is not connected to the brakes as discs and pads were renewed as needed, but that didn't solve it. After lifting the corner in the air, no matter what brutality i used, the wheel refused to wobble, so i assume that means the wheel bearings are OK. Not sure what to think. Are there shaft bearings, and might they need replacing? How can I test? There is a big ring, similar in appearance to an external bearing, but spinning the wheel when stood beneath it does not hint that is problem, and I am loathe to put a brick on the accelerator then climb under. Any suggestions please?
  2. I had tried blowing some air, used a vacuum, pushed a paint brush through, and then gave up. Simply never occurred to me just how much crap you could get there. Thanks for the pic, now I realise how disgusting my car must be.
  3. I used to use the same breaker bar to tighten the bolts as to undo them. Didn't want the wheels to fall off Head busted on one and it cost me £25 to get it nuked and forced out. Now they are tightened, then torqued. Seems I was being far to enthusiastic with the bar
  4. Put the space where you would pause when quoting it to someone. It's a stupid idea as no other map system I have ever used makes you do it
