  2. Hi All, I'm interested in buying a Jaguar again, the models I'm really keen on are the XJ series 3's, either a 4.2 or V12, some very nice low mileage Japan imports out there that are very tempting, what are you thoughts/pros and cons? Also the later supercharged x300 or x350, what do you think to these? Many years ago I had a series 2 Daimler 4.2 Sovereign which I loved, it was my daily driver which was a great car and very reliable, at this time my Dad owned a 1980 3.4 series 3 which I also got to drive ,I was 20 at the time and thought I was the business!! My dad later part exchanged his series 3 for an XJ40 3.6, I suppose what should have been a step up but for me I liked the XJ shape more, his XJ40 was a good reliable car with good performance and economy, it ended up being my wedding car. Later I bought a X300 4litre Sovereign, a much loved car and was a shame to let it go. 20 years on I'm looking at buying something special that I can keep and enjoy as a second car, I appreciate your thoughts, Mark
