  1. Well, I traded her in against a 2008 Maserati GT. Gorgeous car, however with the same problem later on. For the XKR they adviced me to wait with repair of the head liner, till the front screen needed replacement... Cost approx. £3000 (The back up plate which holds the liner cannot be removed in one piece, without removing the front window.) My suggestion was to split the head liner in two halfs, left and right, to make a satisfying repair, but it never came to that....
  2. 2005 XKR I asked a professional and they could do the job for around 250 £ However while speaking he mentioned the front wind screen has to be removed to repair to original specs. I tried it to fix myself with spray glue, which was not a success as the lining back foam crumbled and turned to dust with near nothing left to glue. It became a sloppy and stained job and the result was very disappointing..
  3. Put the gearbox in manual mode, select a suitable gear and give full throttle. Is there still "lag" ? If it is in automatic the gearbox first has to select the right gear (which requires time) and this can be translated as "lag"...
  4. Hi guys, i came from a 2005 XKR to a 2008 4.2 Maserati GT and now i am hooked up to a 2014 F-Type 5L V8. I love the lines, the endless power and the sound. I trust she will give us much pleasure and satisfaction.
