  1. Hi! This is my first post here and I wanted to ask about the diffrences between a 2006 2.7d s-type and a 2003 4.2 v8. I bought my 2003 4.2 s-type a few months ago. It has been great so far but the only thing that has been bugging me is the condition of the exterior of the car. Defects on both wings, the bonnet, trunk lid, left rear door, right front door and headlights. I have been looking for replacement parts with the same color code but I could not find anything from here where I live Finland. Ofcourse I could get ones that are a diffrent color but 700€ just to get the bonnet painted is far to much to invest in such a ”cheap” car. And ordering from the UK is out of option because of the high transport fees. While scrolling through the internet I found a very cheap 2.7d 2006 S-type that is in great condition in every other way but the engine is broken. So my question is what parts should be swapped over the 4.2 v8 to the 2.7d shell? Ofcourse ecu, engine mounts, wiring harness, gauges, fuel tank, engine, diff and transmission. But are there any differneces in the brakes and suspension and other electrical components that can’t work together between the two. Thanks for the answers in advance.
