Hi Kyle I live in Lincoln and have a late 2014 XKR-S. Not sure if that’s what you’re after for your display but would be happy to bring it down if interested. If not I might pop down anyway and take a look. Alan

I’ve just had my XKR-S detailed with a minor paint correction and ceramic coating applied. My detailer was shocked to find the paint was unbelievably thin. In some places as low as 55 microns to a max of around 85 microns. This seriously restricted how far he could go with paint correction and while it still looks amazing, he, and I are disappointed that he wasn’t able to remove scratches he would normally expect to do. has anyone any experience of this as it seems normally cars have a thickness around 100-110 microns. Is this a Jaguar thing?

Does anyone know where I could get one of the Supercharged badges the sit either side of the engine cover?

One of the fobs on my XKR-S doesn’t work to open or start the car, in fact doesn’t seem to do anything. The battery is brand new from selling garage but to be sure I tried a new one of my own and still no joy. My suspicion is the previous battery was dead for too long and the fob has lost its program. does anyone know if these can be re programmed by myself or do I need to take it to a Jaguar main dealer. And if that’s the case, would an independent Jaguar specialist be able to do it.?

So have just arrived home from picking it up. What a car. bodywork needs a proper detailing, especially the stone chips on front carbon fibre splitter but other than that drives like a dream. Has only done 14k miles from new and interior really shows that. Drove really sensibly on journey home and still only got 22.8mpg. Actually made me laugh more than anything else. If anyone on here could tell me where a CTEK charger connects on an XKR-S I’d be really grateful.

Hello everyone Have just bought a black 2014 XKR-S. will probably pick it up toward the end of this week or early next once it’s been serviced and MOT’d. I had originally been looking for either an XK Dynamic R or an F Type but when the opportunity to buy the XKR-S presented itself it was no brainier. Looking forward to some exciting road trips and conversations on this forum.
