Hi, This has now been sorted and all working again but I now have another issue! The parking sensors do not work at all on my 2008 X Type estate. Any advice on how to test them or diagnose the problem? Thanks Ed Nugent

Hello everyone, During some work recently the battery on my 2008 X TYPE Estate with 2.0 diesel was disconnected and I now need the pin number to reset the audio head unit. Unfortunately when I bought the car approx a year ago the pin did not come with it and I didn't realise until it was needed just now. Does anyone know how to sort a pin number or is there a default I could use? Thanks for your help Ed Nugent

Hi everyone. I have just joined having become the owner of 2008 x-type 2.0 Estate. Having worked for a Ford dealership for many years my company car was a Mondeo of various trim levels and I can assure everyone that the x-type is most definitely not like a Mondeo. my problem is that none of the parking sensors are working and I am not getting anything from the switch in the overhead console. One of the reverse lights has not worked since I got the car-this appears to be down to corroded bulb holder rather than bulb failure. Could this be the problem?
