    Jaguar X type 2.0, 2002, not starting after welding

    Good evening. Maybe someone can help me here. I own a Jaguar X-Type, 2.0 petrol engine, that won't start anymore. We were welding something on the car, and the battery was disconnected during that time. Now it doesn't start anymore and displays the error messages 'Transmission malfunction' and 'Cruise control malfunction.' The automatic transmission is locked in P (Park). The battery is fully charged. Any ideas, anyone? Thank you very much in advance. Martin
