Hey All, I have just purchased a 2001 X-type in a flat red colour, it's been well loved but the colour is slightly dull in a few places and I'd like to freshen her up. I am having trouble deciphering the paint codes on in car panel - any clues as to how to discover the paint colour?

Hey All, Just a quick hello from a newbie to the forum and a newbie to Big Cat ownership! After years of admiring, I've finally acquired ... (okkies, I've finally managed to talk the boss into allowing me to get one ...). First drive out in him (nicknamed Jeffery by our two daughters), she was as smitten as I am. Initially, used the newly acquired caravan as an excuse to engine upgrade from my much-loved Golf, and after trialing numerous mundane euro-boxes I had a eureka moment, remembering back to my Dad owning one, under the same pretense. After a trip to pub with the old man, the plan was hatched to acquire one. So after much web searching, a near mint X-Series was discovered locally (virtually on the doorstep), as a part-ex from an eldery gent who only need a mini-run around. He'd owned the car from first purchase in 2001, covering a staggering 49,000 miles .... So Jeffery joined the family and the Big Cat induced smile just keeps getting big with every drive! Only two weeks into ownership ... and regretting I didn't make the leap from euro-box years ago! Still life is all about experience, so I'm told....
