Thanks Dave, great information and with nice weather for the next few days, I’ll put your advice to work. Now I could just figure out what to do about my brakes! Jags are heavy cars and I just want to know that it will stop when needed…I’ve got to figure out the Teves ABS system! Thanks again
My XJS sits for long periods as I refuse to drive in the rain. It also spent 28 years in a garage hardly driven. He told me he put a fresh battery in just before I bought, but it is sluggish in starting. I took the cover off in the trunk and was shocked to see the buildup of white powder on the shelf! What’s the best way to remove and how do I prevent it from returning? Thanks, Charles
Found a1995 XJS convertible garage queen with low mileage for my wife celebrating 50 years. Sent it to a Jag shop to flush the brakes and get the ABS brake light off…no luck! Do I send the calipers to a shop to rebuild them or order a wheel kit with rotors, calipers and pads…looking at Wilwood as a quality source. Please provide recommendations, Thanks, Charles
