  1. I only have to leave my S for a week or so (undercover) and yes, another warning light comes on.When I had the wiring checked by a real expert last Summer he told me that the wiring looms were a bit dodgy..but also that the positioning of the cables underneath the car could cause problems also.He highlighted an area of concern where the main loom passes over ..I think..an anti-roll bar (cannot exactly remember now) anyway, the bar in question rubs away and finally exposes wiring.he repositioned the loom to stop this happening. My friend has myriad problems with the wiring on his "X" which leaves us to think that yes, corners were cut when these beautiful cars were made....
  2. Some years back I was at the NEC Motorshow when the S-Type was reborn...it was a love rekindled,a desire recreated. When I was but a lad,I was given a lift to work in a 60"s S-type,and spent the next 6 months telling all who would listen about the wonders of that car. With (early) retirement imminent, I have spent months wading through websites, visiting dealers, tho odd test-drive....and am totally chuffed to announce that tomorrow (Sat 27th April) I collect the most fabulous Silver, stunning, awesome, beautiful 04 S-type I have ever seen! Sleep will not come easily tonight....Regards to all,Den...
