Hi new member and new owner of second hand Jaguar S type...looking for all you very smart guys out there to point me to any areas or issues about or on the car to be especially vigilant with, ie what to look for in general maintenance other than that which is common to other cars.... I have just come back to owning a Jaguar after what appears a lifetime. I have as yet to collect this car, it is having a service and new MOT before collection, so you may gather its not new. I have purchased an S type on a 'T' plate (1999) This is not my first S type, although the last one was a 1968 model 3.4 (which I wish I still had) I look forward to being able to discuss the merits and faults of the S type with all owners and enthusiasts alike and maybe glean information on any problems, should they arise.
