    Thanks Peter After much discussion we decided to get battery tested and it was not too good so bought one from Halfords. Started first time so 5 years seems reasonable life of old one. Surprisingly start button did not glow and have not lost any info as expected. Now enjoying a fantastic car and hope to buy another one soon, wife allowing!

    I let battery go flat while on holiday for a over a month. Charged up but on trying to start all went dead except for clicking noise to the right of steering wheel down on RH side of footwell. Also battery voltage went down from approx 12 to 5v. Car is 2009 so may need new battery? Also is it normal for various lights to come on when charging. Charger connected to positive term and negative to remote post in well.
