  1. Hi, I was called last week by Ridgeway Jaguar to tell me that my car (2012 3.0 XF Portfolio S) was subject to a recall and that I needed to take it in (not urgent - booked it to be done in a fortnight). His approach was what you'd expect, very apologetic, fully paid for, etc. I'm pretty sure he said it related to a crank sensor but the reason isn't listed in the follow up email he sent so I could be mistaken. The thing is, I can't find any mention of the recall anywhere and don't see anything on the forum so I was wondering if anyone else has been contacted? Cheers, Al.
  2. Thanks Frank, that's consistent with the behaviour. Grattik - it does, it's just that I got used to not having to worry about it.
  3. Thanks Gents. The revs are an interesting point - it idles at about 750rpm, which I have though might be a little low? Dave, that was pretty much the point about it being the same hill - my old one didn't roll back and I'm sure this one didn't until the last couple of days. Have heard mention that the 8 speed box can make a difference but I'm sure something has changed. Thanks again, Alistair.
  4. Hi, I recently changed my 2010 XF (3.0L D) for a 2012 XF-S (3.0 D). Really happy with the car but noticed this morning that it was rolling back when stationary on a hill. My previous XF didn't do this and I'm positive that the current one wasn't doing this last week (the same hill for the record). Have I got a problem that should be looked at? I know it sounds obvious but I'd like some advice before going back to my dealer who will inevitably fob me off if I don't do some research first. Thanks.
