PDU Wanted to loan or buy
Has anyone out there got a Jag PDU so i can sort my 96 xjs out? My local Jag dealer, wholm im friends with the mastertech who used to work on xjs's no longer has the pdu, and another friend who is ex jag, now a indipendant jag specialist doesnt have one. My SnapOn Solus wont let me into it either. Its starting to worry me that no one seems to be able to plug into my Jag anymore. Cheers, Dan.

XJ-S a "classic"?
I have a 1996 celebration, i consider it a classic. Yes its one of the last ones, but its still in essence a 70's design. And at last they are on the up and no longer a bargain basement Jag. i picked my first one up years ago, a 1991 xjs up for 1000 quid tax and tested. wasnt mint but certainly no banger. good luck doing that these days !

newb post
Hey folks new here but not new to jags. got a 1996 celebration with xjr6 motor and trans fitted. great quick car, but still has its problems lol. 1. passenger seat backrest went back now just clicks but wont go forward with no relay click (switch ok) 2. when hot get high idle about 1400rpm 3. every now and then it turns over but wont start, but i have noticed the passenger lock does not always opperate fully so alarm arms but C/L unlocks itself, could this confuse the immoboliser? it seems to start eventually after random pressing of alarm fob and random jiggling of key in ignition (just wish id pay more attention to what i did when it eventually starts lol) 4. clunk from rear when setting off from stand still. that is it, a much shorter list than my last xjs lol ;)

Now then folks. Im Dan, new on here, but not new to Jags. My current Jag is a 1996 XJS Celebration fitted with a xjr6 motor and trans. Love it ! Had xjs's before and my father has had jags of all types for years, but i had my muscle car fix for a number of years. I sold my 1969 Chevy Chevelle to buy this XJS-R. After alot of years 1/4 mile bracket racing and 9 mpg, i decided i would like to start doing some touring but still needed somthing with some poke and slightly better mpg. Its not quite 400hp but it still goes well and can cover the distance.....and pass a petrol station lol. My next posts will be in the tech section looking for answers to problems lol. Cheers Dan.
