Ok, question you lovely people.....I have been trying all week to get Ella started. 1970 XJ6 Fitted new fuel pump, that IS working. New Battery. Ok. Then drained the fuel system. (Only have one tank in operation at the moment.) Drained the tank. The petrol was contaminated. Couldn't undo the glass bowl to clean that filter. Cleaned the filter to the carbs and cleaned the SU carbs, ie, cleaned out the bowls and thimble filters. Checked for spark, got that but not very bright. Cleaned the rotor arm and changed plugs. She turns over but will not fire. (Tried to once when the rotor arm was cleaned). She's back on the trailer on Tuesday but if any of you can think of something else I can try with my limited knowledge, please let me know!!!!! Thank you.
