quick question if the coolant is low as in empty has the car got sensors to stop it starting to avoid damage?

thanks guys I have checked and its fault code 1586 which isn't in my book! ive noticed that the fuel pumps aren't making any noise when the cars ignition is on should they make a noise?

hi all have a 2001 3.0 v6 s type manual. it wont start and is in fail safe mode done some research and saw it could be throttle body or tps so changed both still not fixed the problem also checked relay 4 and swapped it over still no fix so decided to check the plug at the back of the engine that leads to the tps it seemed to be in good condition so anyone got any ideas what it could be? it turns over fine and catches for a second before dying. am going to check plugs and coil packs next but anyones thoughts on this would be appreciated

Hi all just bought a 2001 4.0 s type and need to get a new key and fob ive seen some on ebay can I programme the remote myself and can anyone recommend where I can get a key from?

hi anyone know a part number or a name for this piece of trim? its fits on the end of the rear quarter window right next to the door and basically fits on the end of the rubber seal its only a couple of cms long sorry cant upload picture

I worked for woodford jaguar from 1999 to 2002 and fell in love with a Antigua blue with ivory leather xk8 that we had for sale when I first started at the age of 17 so years later after finally being able to afford one I spent months looking for the colour and managed it! needs a little tlc but be great to get it sorted and meet some fellow jag owners
