Thanx Peter The jag is great definitely a bit different to a 98 golf gti and a lot more comfortable and economical. With regards to the parking sensors i found one faulty 1and got a replacement and painted (1 advantage of working in a bodyshop) all sensors are now pulsating but the light in headlining just flashing and no sound at all driving me mad oh and cant find speaker for them.

Hi Was wondering if any of you guys could help please .i have have recently bought a x type diesel 2006 with front and rear sensors but unfortunatly do not work. I thought i had found the problem one of the front ones was faulty so have bought a replacement got it painted but still no luck. When i turn parking sensors on i just get a flashing red light in roof console absolutely no sound whatsoever i have tried finding speaker but not luck and as its so shiny and new not keen on taking it apart with out any clue why or where ect any help would be appreciated
