    I tried that, took the new back and pet it on the old blade part and tried to programme it and it wouldn't ping.

    I had this problem and bought two different X-type key fobs off eBay and although they fitted in the ignition they would not turn to position one. It's not as easy as everyone is making out. Surely anyone could get an old fob off eBay and break into a car and programme a key and drive away.

    The wheel above is 17' known as the 'Barbados' I searched for months to find full set for my X-Type and managed to get a full set with tyres for £300 off eBay. From a dealer I think they're about £300 a corner.
