    Whoops! Must be Friday.......not ECU, its the EGR valve that was the problem.....replace it, don't clean it! Regards Martin

    Replacing standard external bulbs with LED's

    Has anyone done a complete replacement of their external (stop,tail,brake,indicators and sidelights) incandescent bulbs with bright LED's please. If so which did you use and are they bright enough. Been hoping to do my x-type estate for a while but not sure which led's to go for. Regards Martin

    Hi, I had similar symptoms with my 2.2d recently and it had only done 30,000 miles. It was found to be the ECU unit and my local garage replace it for a price within £200 Hope this is of use and hopefully reduce the time at the garage if they have a place to start. Regards Martin
