  1. Further to my initial post I have finally managed to get the car to a reputable Jaguar Independant and after diagnosis found that the car had, had its ECU replaced but from an earlier year and manual instead of auto and the light disabled in the software, now fitted with the correct ECU and light functioning, though still a slight problem with cruise
  2. I have recently bought a 2003 2.5v6 AWD SE Auto xType which is going well at 103k mileage however there are 2 problems The check engine light does not illuminate when the ignition is switched on or if a sensor is disconnected to create a fault, it's been suggested to remove the instrument pack to check but before doing that is there a possibility that a relay or some such could be faulty or sticking The other problem is the cruise does not operate, when switching on the ignition and operating the cruise switch, cruise on or off shows in the display, but when driving the set speed does not operate nor the resume and if the cancel button is pressed cruise off shows in the display but can not get the cruise on back on, but cruise inoperative does not show on the display. On the diagnostics there is a clutch switch fault showing could this actually be the switch on the brake pedal or is it something more complex
