lambda sensors

hello,

i have just purchased a 2.0 v6 2003 x type

perfect apart from when its cold i get a tiny missfire when i accelarate noticably

there are no warning lights on

i have spoken to the previous owner who said it cut out once and he went to a jag specialist who said both exhaust sensors need replacing, 

after the initial annoyance runs perfect starts brilliant every time.

some suggested putting cataclean in the car !!!!!!

any suggestions please

confused here

i would have fault a sensor and not both and if no lights come on the dash , would it come on as a fault code ?  could be a ploy for a large garage bill
