Newbie with Speedo problem.

Hi ... Newbie first post ...  Just bought a 04 X-Type Estate 2.5 with the sports pack. The previous owner said the Speedo just died. He got one off Ebay but was told that it could not be fitted as they were linked to the electronics (coded?) Anyone had any experience please ... or have a solution other than stick the Sat Nav on?

Hi Chris and welcome to THE JAGUAR OWNERS CLUB. Have not experienced any issues with the speedo sorry therefore, cannot assist you there. I'm sure there will be someone seeing your post that may have a better understanding however, failing that I would suggest you contact an Independent Jaguar specialist, it cannot be that much of a problem seeing you already have a replacement.

Let us know how you get on so that we can arm ourselves with the knowledge should another face the same problem

    Hi Kenny ... Thank you. No help so far so I will look for that independent you suggested. And I will get back with a solution if I find one. Thanks again.
