Sim Card Requirement

Featured Replies

Good morning all,

I pick up my new XF next week, and it has the InControl Pro fitted. I understand that to get the most from it, a micro sim should be fitted by me for weather, traffic etc...

Now the Jaguar Website states it should be a 'data only' sim.

However, there are much better 'normal' sim deals out there. I can get a 3GB (with unlimited texts and minutes which I wont need) for £9 pm plus a £50 Amazon voucher.

Will a 'normal' sim with a data allowance work or does it have to be 'data only'?

Also, will 3GB be ok for normal use (not hotspotting, not downloading video or music)?

Cheers

I think 3GB should be more than enough and as far as I know, data only is just an option to those who just want that and not voice calls, etc.

I use a data only SIM on a tablet and that can make voice calls over the internet if required, so a general SIM should work fine as far as I can tell....worth checking with the contract supplier though.
