Windscreen washers jaguar xf

Featured Replies

Hi all.is it Normal for the windscreen washers to only spray once, and i have to say they are Terrible the water that goes on to windscreen does not spray wide, my wifes little corsa sprays better is this a common thing with the Jaguar xf ? i have just renewed the water bottle pump also as it was leaking , thought it may have been because of that but still the same crap spray am not Happy so called premium car cheers Dave. and yes i have checked the nozzels are clear

Hi Dave,

The washers on all of the Jags I've owned and driven have been pretty good in the main. In fact a bit too good when the Head-Light washers kick in too.

Given that you've replaced the pump and checked the nozzles there are only two other things I can think of that may be at the root of this. One is a blockage / restriction/pinch in the primary feed hose from the washer bottle and, this is a long shot, a blockage in airway to the bottle itself which may cause a vacuum effect and inhibit easy water flow.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Steve
