Fuel safety device triggered

Featured Replies

Hi

Ive had my 2013 sportbrake for a week now, just tried to put fuel in ( yes the correct type of fuel) and notice the yellow safety device has triggered in the filler spout.

Amazingly the reset tool was as advertised on the battery and I thought happy days, sorted. However, nothing I do with the reset tool will make the yellow flap thingy disappear. Ive followed the instructions of the owners manual and the various youtube videos but its still there with the result that by the time ive put £50 worth of diesel in the pump next to me has seen 5 cars fill up and go as it takes an age to refuel.

Am I correct in thinking the device is broken and the car needs a visit to Jaguar or can anyone else help me out.

Regards

Tony
