XF - 2014 Central Locking issues

Featured Replies

Hi, the battery on my smart key was low, so we have changed and tried multiple new batteries to no avail. I have now got the spare key which worked fine but then I had issues locking as it keep beeping at me as if the say the locking mechanism hadn't worked? All of the doors looked to be shut?

Hi Gemma.

Have you solved your issue?

I had a similar problem, the door locking mechanism needed replacing.

It use to beep once after locking then about 2 seconds later beep twice.

I don't know if the issue has been resolved, however when replacing the battery, which is really easy, take care not to bend the contact prongs protruding from the circuit board when reassembling the fob. If you do the battery won't make good contact.
