heLP my car wont start

I was changing the spark plugs and forget to disconnect the battery now the car wont start

A neighborhood mechanic loo at it and said the flashing light in the middle of the dash board means the anti theft is on and to hell and back I cant find anyone to advice how to solve the problem without emptying my pocket  that is already empty. I found 6 pence. HELP please some one say how to fix.

I have already tried all the on line put in and twitch the light and all that stuff. my mechanic friend says its now a dealer  thing to reset the computer.

Does someone know another cheaper rout ----PLEASE  YOU will become my GOD
