Yes, I had told her to shut up a few times, but I didn't mean it:)

Checked BD2 link (Menu/Phone 5 sec, code 917, Self Check) it just says "No Errors Detected"  Radio & both CD players work, Jag Voice works, phone works

Problem trying the other forum suggestion (AM/FM and Eject) as I don't have an AM/FM button, its called BAND. I have Long, Medium and FM bands.     Pressing Eject and Band shows RDS/RBDS  On Off and FM Volume High/Low and that's it.

Really would appreciate some suggestions.

Found the answer!  Turns out that both the front 5" speakers (or rather their transformers) had simultaneously blown, not as unusual as you might think, cheap Chinese manufacture.  This just left the tweeters working.  Solution is remove the door panels and replace the speakers.  Mechanic said he fixed this same fault on 5 occasions in a year.
