Bad vibration through car when idle

Featured Replies

Hi All

Was told I needed a new engine mount as my exhaust was shaking/vibrating quite bad when I was idle. Had it changed. Noticed a slight difference but its still there and seems to be getting worse again. As soon as I accelerate. The vibration/shaking of the exhaust stops. Had problems since getting the car. Its financed so kinda stuck in a predicament. Any ideas?

Thanks

How long have you owned it and how long was the used car warranty?

Can you give a better description of what exactly is vibrating/shaking, is it petrol or diseasel and any other information you can think of that might be relevant, if if you think it isn't

I had same issue on my 2018 XE, engine mounts were replaced under warranty, issue resolved, still get a kind of droning sound from exhaust area when reversing on a cold start.  I'd question whether they have actually changed the engine mounts!!!
