Engine light on for 2007 S-type 3.0 V6 automatic - Petrol

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Please can someone let me know why the engine light comes on for the above car?

The car runs fine and changes gears well.

I spoke to a couple of mechanics and they suggested to bring it in for a diagnosis check which I'm checking now. Also if anybody knows of a good Jaguar mechanic around the Edgeware, London area.

But, I'm just also checking on this forum if anybody had the similar problem and what was the diagnosis. Thanks and much appreciated for any help.

It could be anything! Your best bet is to get a code reader and read the codes, even a cheap one (sub-£20) on ebay should tell you the codes bringing the EML on. The cheap one won't necessarily reset the ECU but at least you'll have an idea what the probable cause is.
