2001 S type automatic Gearbox fault

Hi all , Have a problem with my car it’s. 3.0 v6 , been driveing fine no issues .

i went out to use it , could not get it to go into drive or natural. Goes into reverse and moves just no forward , checked cable moves freely as disconnected it from box . Reconnect it still the same will not shift into natural or drive . Brake lights ok and working as some one said it should not move from park without pushing foot brake down but mine did . I give up fine one day nothing the next help
